Engineer wins BSNL award

KOCHI:
Shiny Purushothaman, sub-divisional engineer at Thrikkakara telephone exchange, has won the Vishisht Sanchar Seva Padak of the Kerala Telecommunications Circle.
The State-level award is for her service to the exchange and the customers in its area of operation. She had taken efforts for the excellent internal and external maintenance of the exchange, for reducing the fault rate and for restoring breakdowns early, a Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) statement said here on Thursday.
She was instrumental in converting a major portion of the external network into poleless network. She also had excellent customer relations.
The award was presented to Ms. Purushothaman at a ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. The others who won the award were Jyothy Lakshmi, junior telecom officer, Kottayam, and Antony Lopez, divisional engineer, IMPCS, Ernakulam.
