One killed in road accident

HYDERABAD: One person was killed and five others, including a woman suffered injuries after the lorry in which they were travelling was hit by another lorry neat IIIT at Gachibowli on Thursday.

D. Ramulu, 29, a labourer and resident of Pochampally village, who fell from the lorry along with other persons after it was knocked down by a Maharashtra-bound lorry from rear side, died on the spot. The other injured persons have been identified as Gopal, David, Jahangir, Abdul Qayyum and Shafia Begum. They were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital where their condition is said to be stable.

Succumbs to injuries

In another incident, a woman who suffered grievous injuries after the scooter on which she was travelling along with her husband skidded on Wednesday, died while undergoing treatment at OGH on Thursday. In yet another incident, a youngster died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a lorry at L.B. Nagar on Wednesday.
