HYDERABAD: Start early and check out for alternative routes if you are going to Begumpet airport, Secunderabad railway station or Jubilee Bus Stand on Saturday. Because, traffic would be stopped, diverted in Secunderabad from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on that day to facilitate the carnival being taken out from Budha Bhavan to Parade Grounds to celebrate 200 years of Secunderabad. "I appeal to people especially those planning to travel on Saturday to take note of the restrictions and cooperate with us," the Traffic Additional Commissioner A.K. Khan said at a press conference on Thursday.
Restrictions
Vehicles will not be allowed towards M.G. Road from upper Tank Bund. Vehicles from the upper Tank Bund will not be allowed towards Karbala Maidan. They are advised to turn right at Children's park and proceed via lower Tank Bund, Kavadiguda and Jeera Road to reach RP Road. Traffic coming from Bible House (on R.P.Road) and proceeding to M.G.Road would not be allowed to turn right at Karbala Maidan. They should turn left towards upper Tank Bund. Those coming from Necklace Road would not be allowed towards Budha Bhavan. They shall turn left at Nallagutta bridge towards Ministers Road. Vehicles coming from Ministers Road would not be allowed towards Ranigunj junction. They shall turn right at Nallaguttta bridge towards Necklace Road. Those going from Subhash Road to M.G. Road would not be allowed towards Paradise side by turning right at Rocha Bazar. They shall take R.P. Road at Bata and proceed towards Patny.
Major changes
Vehicles coming from L.I.C. Road, P.G. Road and proceeding towards S.D. Road, M.G. Road are advised to take S.P. Road via street no.7, fire station, Secunderabad lane and proceed via Rasoolpura, CTO flyover and YMCA flyover. Traffic coming from SP road would not be allowed to turn left for Plaza lane, Deen Dayal lane and Belsons Taj lane. They are advised to take S.P. road via CTO flyover and Rasoolpura. Vehicles coming from Karkhana and Trimulgherry and proceeding towards Hyderabad would not be allowed from Tivoli crossroads towards Plaza. They are instructed to turn right at Tivoli X Road and proceed towards Brooke Bond crossroads, turn left and proceed to C.T.O. junction. Vehicles coming from Secunderabad Club, Jubilee Bus Stand would not be allowed from Upkar road towards S.B.H. junction. They shall turn left at Upkar crossroads and proceed towards Y.M.C.A., Sangeet crossroads.
Curbs on heavy vehicles
Vehicles coming from C.T.O. flyover would not be allowed to proceed towards S.B.H. junction. They shall take Y.M.C.A. flyover route. Vehicles coming from St. John's rotary side (S.P.Road) would not be allowed towards S.B.H. crossroads at Y.M.C.A. junction and are instructed to turn left at Y.M.C.A. junction towards Clock Tower. Vehicles coming from Sangeet side (SD road) would not be allowed towards Paradise at Patny crossroads. They shall turn left at Patny crossroads and proceed towards R.P. Road. Heavy vehicles and district buses would not be allowed on to R.P. Road because of the iron girders erected by the railway department near Bansilalpet railway bridge. Vehicles coming from Bata crossroads would not be allowed towards SBH crossroads at Patny junction. They shall turn right towards Clock Tower.
