Divya Singh first in open general category

Pondicherry: The management of the Centrally administered JIPMER in Pondicherry published on Friday the results of the entrance examination the institute conducted on May 28 for admission of students to MBBS course (2006-2007 session) in the institute. A total of 18,142 candidates appeared for the test held simultaneously in Pondicherry, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.

Ms Divya Singh has notched the first rank in the all India open general category and she has obtained 163 marks out of 200, according to the Dean of JIPMER K.S. Reddy. The Dean said in a release that K. Arun Kumar who has secured 156 out of 200 stands first under the Pondicherry general category.

Results are available on the website (www.jipmer.edu) of the institute.

Following is the list of roll numbers of candidates provisionally selected and placed in the order of merit based on marks obtained in the entrance test. Marks obtained by candidates out of 200 are given in brackets against the roll numbers:
