New Delhi: Heavy rain lashed Goa and Gujarat on Friday, where four more persons died in rain-related incidents pushing the toll in the past two days to 12. Two persons died in south Gujarat while two others died in Saurashtra region due to rain-related incidents, official sources said adding of the total 12 victims, six died due to lightning in Narmada, Dahod and Sabarkanta districts. Several parts of Ahmedabad were inundated, leaving both motorists and pedestrians stranded at different places. Large parts of Goa experienced heavy rain for the fifth day, severely affecting the normal life. Low-lying areas continued to be inundated and four houses collapsed at Canacona talukthough there was no casualty,'' officials said. PTI
