dated June 3, 1956: Molotov resigns

The Supreme Soviet on June 1 accepted the resignation of Mr. Vyacheslav Molotov, Soviet Foreign Minister. Mr. Dmitri Shepilov has been appointed to succeed him. Mr. Shepilov has been the Editor of Pravda. The announcement that Mr. Molotov's resignation had been accepted came on the eve of the arrival in Moscow of President Tito of Yugoslavia.
