Statue unveiled

TIRUPATI: As part of the TTD's ongoing programme to install the statues of all the `Dasavathara-murthis' along the footpath to built up a spiritual ambience for the benefit of the visiting pilgrims, the icon of Kurmavathara-murthy' was consecrated by the priests on Friday. Formally unveiling it, TTD Trust Board Chairman and Union Mnister T. Subbarami Reddy said that eight other statues would be installed in the next four months along the Tirumala footpath.

Later, laying the foundation stone for TTD staff quarters coming up on a 7.63-acre site near Vinayakanagar, Mr. Reddy said that the TTD's endeavour would be to provide house sites to all the TTD staff members in the next one year.
