Woman set ablaze

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: A 28-year-old woman was doused with kerosene and set on fire allegedly by her husband at their house in Banaswadi police station limits on Thursday night.

The police said Rajeshwari, who suffered 60 per cent burns, is battling for life in Victoria Hospital. Rajeshwari had married Vincent, a resident of Janakiram Layout and an instructor at a driving school, nine years ago. They have two children.

On Thursday, Rajeshwari, who had gone to get her children admitted to a school, returned home late.

Vincent picked a quarrel with Rajeshwari for coming late.

Following the quarrel, around 10.30 a.m. Vincent allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.
