HYDERABAD:
Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy went on whirlwind tour of four districts by helicopter on Friday and promised time-bound completion or launching of a string of key irrigation projects.
Starting from East Godavari where he said that work on Polavaram would resume in two months, he concluded the day's tour in Mahabubnagar where he announced that Rs. 1600 crores would be spent in 2006-07 on Bheema, Nettempadu, Kalwakurthy and Koilsagar projects to ensure their completion in three years.
In between, he laid the foundation stone for the Nagarjunasagar tail pond project in Nalgonda district.
