Cast: Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, Tania Saulnier They've managed it a few times before with Scream, they ripped the slasher movie apart, and with Tremors, they sank their teeth into creature features. Now, with Slither, it's been done again. After a spate of cross-cultural horror remakes and spin-offs that took themselves too seriously, here's a film that has enough sense of humour to laugh at itself and enough gravity to respect its audience. Slither returns to that age-old formula of a hick town plagued by alien slugs that spew acid vomit and little `sluglings' that crawl into your brain and lobotomise you. The only thing that stands in their way is underachieving police chief Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion). Will he save the town and the girl (Elizabeth Banks) who he's been crushing on all his life.
