Azad meets Sonia Gandhi

Briefs her on political situation in State
|
NEW DELHI:
Amid growing differences between the ruling coalition partners Congress and PDP, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and apprised her of the political situation in the State.
Mr. Azad briefed her about the State Congress leaders stand over the PDP's tirade against the alliance partner, which has grown manifolds after PDP's defeat in the Assembly byelections held in April this year, party sources said. The PDP has been accusing the ruling alliance partner, Congress, of supporting its rival candidates from all the three Assembly seats Patan, Sangrama and a seat from Kupwara district as the party lost two of the three.
