Concerted efforts sought to curb trafficking

UNDP conducts regional workshop on `Gender community'

HYDERABAD: Mary Ravindranath, Chairperson, AP State Women's Commission, on Friday called for concerted efforts to curb trafficking in women and children and for civil society to put an end to violence against women.

She was addressing the first regional workshop on `Gender community' held by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of `Solution eXchange', a Knowledge Management Partnership (KMP).

Ms. Ravindranath said it was time people formed action groups to put down violence against women.
