ANANTAPUR : The inaugural session of the Telugu Desam Party's two-day extended general body meeting of the district unit here on Friday proved that popularity of party's slain leader Paritala Ravindra was still intact. Response from party workers was overwhelming whenever his name was mentioned by speakers. Party workers' response peaked when the widow of Paritala Ravindra and Penukonda legislator Paritala Sunita rose to speak. Party legislators -- P. Keshav, P. Ranganayakulu, B.C. Govindappa, M. Govinda Reddy and G. Jayalaxmamma -- former MPs K. Srinivasulu, B.K. Parthasarathi and K.M. Saifullahand others spoke. They charged the Government with failing to fulfil the promises made to people, particularly to farmers.
