Rajahmundry: Pradesh Congress Committee president K. Keshava Rao has categorically stated his party leaders have never promised to the TRS or any other party that they will give separate Telangana and reiterated that his party will abide by the second SRC. Speaking to reporters after attending district plenary of the party here on Saturday, Dr. Keshava Rao said they had made it clear time and again that party president Sonia Gandhi's decision would be final on the issue. Asked about reports in a section of the press on the possible merger of the TRS with the Congress, he asked: "TRS! Where is it? Their strength is hardly 25 elected representatives. So, there is nothing called merger." He said the doors of the Congress were open to any party except the BJP and the TDP.
