Seminar on environment

KOCHI: The Ernakulam region of the Forest Department will organise a seminar on environment protection here on Monday. Discussions on local environmental problems will be held on the occasion. Experts will present papers on various environmental issues, such as indiscriminate pollution of natural resources, in the region.

A press release issued by the Assistant Forest Conservator, Social Forestry, Ernakulam, said the recommendations evolved during the meet would be submitted before local bodies for follow-up action.

Representatives of local bodies, Government and non-Governmental organisations, educational institutions and industry will participate in the seminar.
