Randhawa tied 27th

Newport (Wales): Jyoti Randhawa swung his way to the tied 27th place with a two-under 67 while compatriot Jeev Milkha Singh's second successive even-par round earned him a share of the 46th spot after the penultimate round of the Wales Open here.

Randhawa raised his game when he needed it most and after a rather poor second round of 70, the Indian was back in his element at the Par-69 Celtic Manor Resort.

The highest ranked Indian golfer dropped a shot in each nine but sunk five birdies — three in his front nine and two on his way back — for a round of 67 that took his three-day tally to four-under 203.

Jeev, on the other hand, had a rather subdued day in which he mixed two bogeys with as many birdies. — UNI
