Painting exhibition today

IDEAS UNLEASHED: Children from different schools participating in the painting competition organised by the Chittari Young World and Chittari Foundation in Gulbarga on Sunday.

GULBARGA: It was a riot of colours at the painting competition organised by the Chittari Young World and Chittari Foundation in the Bal Bhavan in Gulbarga on Sunday, when children in different age groups painted on environment pollution and indiscriminate cutting of trees. The competition was organised for children as part of the World Environment Day to be observed on June 5. The selected paintings would be exhibited in the Bal Bhavan as part of the World Environment Day celebrations.

Venkataswamy, director of the Chittari Young World and Chittari Foundation, said that children painted on environment pollution and loss of green cover.

Deputy Commissioner Pankajkumar Pandey will inaugurate the exhibition of paintings by children at the Bal Bhavan on Monday. Best paintings would also be awarded certificates and mementos.
