MYSORE: Rangakruti is a platform for young artists representing various streams to display their talent to the general public. For, the 10-day art workshop being organised from May 29 to June 8 by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur, and Department of Kannada and Culture at CAVA in Mysore would bring out the talent of these artists to the fore. The artists representing wood inlay, wood carving, Mysore traditional paintings and other forms of traditional paintings are here to capture the audience during the workshop. According to M.S. Anand, a participating artist, public would be given demonstration about the artwork during the workshop besides holding an exhibition on the last day of Rangakruti on June 8. The Rangakruthi is the annual workshop for south Indian traditional painting and woodcarving. Ten artists including Udaigiri Nagaraj, V. Sesharao Kondapalli and Raghuram from Andhra Pradesh and Vishweshwari Tiwari, Kamal Ahmed, N. Suresh, Vijay Gopinath, Krishna Kumar and Kala Kuldeep are participating in Rangakruthi.
