Bakes slams three goals

Bangalore: Michael Bakes slammed three goals as Bangalore Friends Hockey Club (BFHC) defeated Dhyanchand Hockey Club (DHC) 8-1 in a State `C' Division hockey league at the KSHA Stadium here on Sunday.

Nanda scored in the 10th minute to open BFHC's account and later Michael (3), Dayalan, Sanjay Philip, Magendran and Ronald also joined the act. DHC's lone goal was slammed in the 25th minute by Bharath.

Other results: BCYA `A' 2 (Srinivas, Vipin Aiyappa) drew with EIHC 2 (Marin, Karuna); DBHA `B' 6 (Surendra, Pamba, Hitesh, Rajan, Robin and Chetan) bt SPG 0; Leo HC 1 (Bhanu) drew with Sahayadri 1 (Anand).
