Chennai: Aircel, one of the cellular service providers in Tamil Nadu, has signed up actor Suriya as its brand ambassador.

Aircel promises surprises in the offing aiming at youth, a key growth segment.

It hopes that the association with Suriya will help to build its brand as one reliable and aspirational for the youth.

K.V.P. Baskar, CEO Aircel, said "Aircel and Suriya will be a winning combination." This association will help us create a distinct and a brand par excellence." Aircel has its presence in West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, North East, Jammu and Kashmir.

It is focussed on expanding its services to 10 more new circles by the end of 2006.
