SFI calls for a central education policy

KURNOOL: K.K. Ragesh, All India General Secretary of Student Federation of India, called for a comprehensive central education policy to bring about uniformity in the education, fee structure, course structure and quota policy. Talking to reporters here on Sunday, he said SFI was organising a national seminar on the subject at New Delhi on June 29. Soon after the seminar, the recommendations would be presented to the Human Resource Development Ministry. He said quota system had become a problem in the absence of a national policy.

He urged the Government to fill vacancies in colleges for maintaining standards.
