Pay hike for power staff

HYDERABAD: Pay scales for electricity employees in the State, numbering about 75,000, have been enhanced with effect from April 1, 2006. The upward revision has been effected as the earlier wage agreement between the power utilities and the staff lapsed on March 31. On demand from unions, management held negotiations and finalised a fresh agreement. The agreement valid for four years.
