ONGOLE: Superintendent of Police N. Balasubramanyam here on Sunday dismissed one constable Subbarao from service for allegedly behaving in an unruly manner in his native village and threatening to open fire at the people. Annoyed by his behaviour, Mr. Balasubramanyam thought that he deserved summary punishment and dismissed him from service using his extraordinary powers under Art 131. It is stated that Subbarao was working as gunman for Ongole MP Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy. The Chirala police arrested persons from both the groups.
