Patna: Filmstar and BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha has submitted a proposal to the NDA Government in Bihar for setting up a film city in Patna that would match the very best in Mumbai. Besides, he has also evinced interest in opening a five-star hotel in the State Capital. ``I have sent the proposals for the film city and a five star hotel to Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi a week back," Sinha said in a telephonic conversation from Mumbai and added that the response was "encouraging". The Bollywood star said that he had made a similar proposal 15 years back, when the State was under the rule of the RJD, but it never got approved. "Since the new Government under Nitish Kumar is inviting investment from outside for bringing a turnaround in the State's economy, I have put forward the proposals once again," he said. Stating that he was not seeking any personal favour, Sinha, who was recently appointed BJP's cultural cell president, said, "I have mentioned in my letter to Mr. Modi that the projects shall be considered on merit alone. I am the last person to seek favours, be it NDA, of which I am a member. I have come with investment proposals, which I wish will be treated on merit."
