HYDERABAD: Information and Power Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir has asked officials to complete the survey and submit a report within two months on the construction of two water tanks and laying of pipelines in Kamareddy town, in Nizamabad district. Addressing a meeting in his chambers here on Saturday, the minister directed officials to prepare a scheme which will enable people to get 24-hour supply in their houses, instead of collecting water from small ponds. He said if a comprehensive water supply scheme was submitted, funds could be sanctioned, according to an official release. Mr. Shabbir suggested to officials to keep in view the availability of water in Pedda Cheruvu as also the quantity to be lifted from the Godavari. K. Srinivasa Rao, Municipal Chairman, Farooq Ali, Commissioner, floor leaders of TDP and BJP and several councillors attended.
