61 more refugees arrive

Ramanathapuram: With the arrival of 61 refugees on Sunday, the number of Sri Lankan refugees, who landed at various places of the Rameswaram Island, has gone up to 2,481.

Sources said 61 refugees, including 22 women and 16 children, belonging to 21 families, arrived in four boats.

While two came to Palam near Dhanushkodi, the others landed at Olaikuda and Kundhukal. They were from Thirukadalur, Veeran Nagar areas of Trincomalee.
