HYDERABAD: The innovative feature of issuing `Mrigasira Chakras' by the district administration to reduce the waiting time for the fish medicine seekers on June 8 and 9 at the Exhibition Grounds began in the city on Sunday. The token system to allow people choose a convenient hour for taking fish medicine was an optional one and the counters for `Chakras' would function from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. till June 7. As part of the token, finger prints and photo identity of the seekers would be recorded. Authorities are expecting some 8 lakh people this year and the Fisheries Department would be providing the murrel fish through 33 counters for 24 hours from June 8. Speaking about their family arrangements, Battini Harinath Goud said 22 members of the family would be dispensing the medicine through eight counters continuously for 24 hours. Separate medicine would be provided for vegetarians. "We request people not to consume food - three hours before taking the medicine and two hours after the administration, as it would aid in the better functioning of the medicine," Mr. Goud added.
