Logo for VMC silver jubilee celebrations is (D)

VIJAYAWADA : A majority of the denizens who voted to select a logo for the silver jubilee celebrations of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), scheduled to commence on June 12, are unanimous in their view that Vijayawada is a city on fast track. Yes, that is the official logo (D) for the celebrations. As promised, the VMC officials also conducted a draw of lots and identified seven prize-winners in different categories. In the ballot through drop box, K. Lakshmipati Rao of Balajinagar in Krishna Lanka (ph: 9948472807) was declared first; Sk. Mansoor Hussain (ph: 5533766) second; S. Srinivasa Rao of Mogulrajpuram (ph: 9346232605) third.

In the SMS category, Sk. Imtiyaz of Pandaripuram (ph: 9949222627) won first prize. In the 103 cell category, G. Manikumari of Giripuram (ph: 9848435370) and in the internet category, Ch. Daniel (ph: 9848533007) got the solitary prizes.
