Before the prices rise at the stroke of midnight

Come every hike in fuel prices and the midnight hours get busy like nothing.

As the fuel prices go up after the stroke of the midnight, vehicle-owners queue up in front of the petrol pumps in the last minutes of the day to fill their tanks as much as possible to beat the price hike.

Anyway, the petrol pumps end up having a roaring business just before hike comes into effect.

Something like the people crowding the margin-free supermarkets to make the most of the `margin free' rates by buying supplies more than enough for one month in one single trip.
