MCX and NYMEX forge licensing agreement

CHENNAI: The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) and New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) have entered into an exclusive licensing agreement in India for launching mini-NYMEX energy contracts on MCX. Sharad Pawar, Minister for Agriculture, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution system, flagged off the agreement. Richard Shaeffer, Chairman, NYMEX, and Venkat Chary, Chairman, MCX, signed the agreement on behalf of their exchanges.
