VIJAYAWADA: The Hindu will be conducting a career guidance workshop for students who obtained a qualifying mark in EAMCET in the city on Friday (June 9). The workshop will delve into nuances of taking an informed decision on which course to opt for -- engineering, medicine or allied streams. Eminent academicians and specialists in various subjects will clear the doubts of candidates and their parents. The workshop will have two sessions - Engineering (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Medicine (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) Registration fee is Rs.50 per student. Registrations can also be done either through e-mail or by phone call or in person. Registered candidates will get a handbook containing articles about various courses and careers, authored by subject experts. The workshop will be held at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram on June 9. Those desirous of participating will have to register themselves before 5 p.m. on Thursday by contacting The Hindu office in Vijayawada. Of course, sport registrations will also be permitted for those who wish to participate in the workshop: 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. for engineering and 1 p.m. to1.30 p.m. for medicine streams.
