KURNOOL: Vice-chancellor of Sri Krishnadevaraya University A. Rama Rao has said a new course in botany will be introduced at the post-graduate centre here from this academic year. Addressing a function after inaugurating the Administrative building and laying the foundation stone for a seminar hall and men's hostel block here on Tuesday, he said the proposal for granting autonomy to the PG centre had been pending with the Principal Secretary of Education. Minister for Lift Irrigation M. Mareppa inaugurated the administrative block, while S.P.Y. Reddy, Nandyal MP, laid the stone for seminar hall and M. Sikhamani, MLA, for men's hostel building. Special Officer Laxmi Narsaiah, University Executive Committee members Ajmathulla Khan, M. Nagaraju and others were present.
