Recognition for Sundar, Dongre, Bharat

CHENNAI: D.V. Sundar, R.M. Dongre and Bharat Singh received recognition in the various meetings held at Turin, Italy during the FIDE Congress recently.

D.V. Sundar, secretary of the All India Chess Federation, from Chennai will represent Asian Continent in the FIDE Board meetings. He was elected as one of the board members to represent Asia in the FIDE Board.

R.M. Dongre, the vice-president of AICF, from Mumbai was elected deputy president of the Commonwealth Chess Association. Bharat Singh Chauhan, treasurer of AICF, from Delhi was elected President of Asian Continent (Zone 3.2). In the FIDE elections that were held, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov of Russia was re-elected president.
