Young Cagers out of Asian meet

NEW DELHI: India's Young Cagers crashed out of the 17th Asian Clubs basketball championship in Kuwait after being outplayed by Saudi Arabia's Ittihad Jeddah 107-79 in the quarterfinals.After giving a neck-and-neck fight in the first quarter (28-24), the Indian team could not keep up the momentum and its scoring went down in the next two quarters.

In the league stage, Young Cagers had lost to Fastlink of Jordan 104-97, Al-Qadsia of Kuwait 107-79 and Al-Jala of Syria 87-79. — PTI
