LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh traders will hold a demonstration in front of the Income Tax office here on Wednesday in protest against the change in income-tax return forms. Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vypar Pratinidhi Mandal president and Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament Banwari Lal Kanchal said the traders would not accept the new complicated four-page IT return form. "We would bring adjournment motion in Parliament against the black form and are ready to hold mass agitation throughout the country if it is not withdrawn immediately,'' he said. He said on June 21 traders throughout the State would hold demonstrations against the new return forms. Mr. Kanchal said the new form would force the people to skip submitting returns as it would require chartered accountants to fill up these forms. Demanding that the old Saral form be continued, he said the traders would fight for their genuine cause . - UNI
