Government decides to hand over the functioning to "National Payments Corporation of India"

  • `Outsourcing of clearing operations will be a threat to the banking industry'

    HYDERABAD: Members of United Forum of Reserve Bank of India officers and employees on Tuesday staged a dharna opposing the handing over of clearing operations to a private outfit, "National Payments Corporation of India". They were also against pension updation scheme of 2002.

    Unions join hands

    This is the first time that four employees' organisations - RBI Workers' Union, RBI Employees' Association, RBI Officers' Association and All-India RBI Officers' Association have come together to oppose management's decision which they see as "taking away RBI's core function".
