VIJAYAWADA: A nine-year-old boy and his younger sister were drowned in a rivulet in Gampalagudem in Krishna district on Tuesday. An agriculture labourer Kota Krishna's children, Kota Nagaraju and Krishnaveni (8), ventured into the gushing waters of Kattaleru rivulet adjacent to their house for a swim and got drowned. Though passersby tried to rescue the children, they could only fish out the bodies. The police are yet to register a case.
