To improve indoor air quality

A new branch of the Environment Protection Services Company (EPSCO), which offers services to improve indoor air quality, was recently opened in the city.

Kelvin Bruce, Managing Director of EPSCO, spoke about the necessity of properly cleaning air conditioners and home furnishings. He said that 15 per cent of Indians suffered from asthma.

The factors that pollute indoor air quality include mould spores, house dust mites and tobacco, he said.

He said that the company uses a vacuum cleaner that removes dust particles as small as 0.3 microns. Besides offering its services to hotels, the company also offers a variety of services, including cleaning of the air system, in houses at a nominal cost.

The company has 15 branches in nine countries and has plans to open more branches in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. EPSCO's office is at 40, Nathamuni Street, T.Nagar. Call 044 - 28156292 or 28156298 for details.
