Jan Morcha Alliance

Lucknow: On the lines of the United Progressive Alliance and the National Democratic Alliance, the former Prime Minister, V.P. Singh, on Tuesday announced the formation of the Jan Morcha Alliance, comprising several smaller parties. The Raj Babbar-led Jan Morcha, rechristened Jan Dal, would be a leading constituent of the Alliance, Mr. Singh told reporters here. The film star-turned-politician is the convener. — PTI
