BDA to allot sites to revenue landowners

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority is planning to allot sites in Visvesvaraya Layout and Banashankari 6th Stage to revenue landowners whose lands were acquired for these layouts.

The decision was taken following the Karnataka High Court's decision on Tuesday to uphold the acquisition of land for further extension of both the M. Visvesvaraya Layout and Banashankari 6th Stage in Bangalore.

"We will give the sites to revenue land owners who have not got their dues for a long time. This has been a long pending issue," said a BDA official.
