Kadri Shamma Award presented

Bangalore: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council H.K. Patil on Tuesday presented the Kadri Shamma Journalism Award to former Editor of Samyukta Karnataka Narasimha Vamana Joshi. When economic reforms were introduced, Mr. Joshi wrote about their socio-economic impact. Mr. Patil said selecting a person for an award was often difficult, but Mr. Joshi was an "almost unanimous choice" as everyone respected his value-based approach to journalism. — Staff Reporter
