Freedom fighter dead in U.K.

London: Nalinikant Tribhovandas Pandya, freedom fighter and prominent leader of the Indian community in Britain has died after a stroke, sources in the family said.

Racial relations

Pandya, 90, Vice Chairman of the Brent Community Relations Council, played a major role in promoting good racial relations.

He founded the Federation of Gujarati Association and established England's first Sardar Patel Memorial Committee.

He participated in the freedom struggle with Patel. — PTI
