Chiragh Kumar takes lead

Bangalore: Chiragh Kumar shot a five-under par 65 to propel himself to the top of the leaderboard in the second round of the South India Amateur golf championship at the Bangalore Golf Club Course here on Wednesday. The Delhi-based Chiragh increased his total to seven-under 133. In the second place is Secunderabad's Anirban Lahiri, who shot a three-under 67 and is on 136.

Meanwhile first-round leader Shaurya Singh (138) slumped to the third spot after a below-par round of two-over 72. In the final two rounds forty golfers will play after the halfway cut was enforced at 15-over 155. Among the participants, Gaganjeet Bhullar is nursing a lower back injury and is a doubtful starter on the morrow.
