Himanshu scores upset win

KOCHI : Karnataka's Himanshu Khotbagi and Andhra Pradesh's D. Mahendra pulled off surprise wins in the under-16 boys singles first round of the sixth Indian Oil Servo RSC all-India junior ranking badminton tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here on Wednesday evening.

Himanshu upset third-seeded Vishal Dev Reddy 21-18, 21-15 while Mahendra packed off fourth-seeded Chirayu Jain (MP) 21-15, 21-13. — Principal Correspondent
