North posts a huge total

Bangalore: North posted 446 against South in a Col. Hemu Adhikari Memorial Trophy NCA inter-academy match in progress at the RSI ground here on Wednesday. At stumps on the second day, South scored 39 for no loss. In another match at the IAF Ground, All India University made 206 for five in reply to West's 432.

The scores: North 446 for six in 129 overs (Sumeet Sharma 101, Virat Kholi 75, Sunny Sohil 71, Gaurav Chabra 68, Uday Kaul 45) vs. South 39 for no loss.

West 432 in 125.2 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara 87, H. Khadiwala 83, Sarvesh Damle 63, Ravindra Jadeja 57, Sridip Mungela 41, Karan Veer Singh four for 88) vs. All India University 206 for five in 52 overs (Hari Raj 69, Talivan Xavier 54).

DBHA defeats Naveen HC

The Dhanraj Ballal Hockey Academy `B' outplayed Naveen Hockey Club 5-0 and qualified for the second phase from Group `H' in the State `C' division championship here on Wednesday. A brace each by Pamba (13th and 47th minutes) and Surendra (43rd and 54th) marked DBHA's win. Praveen scored the fifth goal in the 58th minute.

IACA camp

The Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy will conduct its long-term camp from June 10 at the St. John's Medical College grounds. The trainees would get a chance to play a cricket series in Hyderabad in October and later tour Sri Lanka in December. Corporate football
