Coimbatore: Amanjyot Singh carried on his good work with a par in the second round to open up a seven-stroke lead in Category `A' of the Southern India junior and sub-junior golf championship at the Coimbatore Golf Club course here on Wednesday. With two rounds to go, the leader has a tally of three-over 147. "I was quite confident today," said the 15-year-old Amanjyot.
The scores (after 36 holes): Category `A' (15-17 years): Amanjyot Singh (72, 75) 147, Rahul Bakshi (76, 78) 154 and Abhinav Lohan (76, 79) 155. Category B (13-14): Chikkarangappa (80, 80) 160; Rommel Majumdar (82, 82) 164 and Akash Vats (82, 82) 164. Category C (11-12): Viraat Badhwar (81, 87), Ashbeer Singh Saini (83, 85) and Syed Saqib Ahmed (83, 85) 168.
