New Police Commissioners for Tiruchi, Tirunelveli cities

  • Sunil Kumar Singh made Commissioner, Tiruchi city
  • Ayush Mani Tiwari is the new ADC to Governor

    CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government on Thursday posted new Police Commissioners for Tiruchi and Tirunelveli cities, promoted eight Additional Superintendents of Police and posted Deputy Commissioners for some existing vacancies in Chennai Police.

    In the latest transfers and postings, Sunil Kumar Singh, who was hitherto Commissioner, Tirunelveli city, has been made Commissioner, Tiruchi city.

    Braj Kishore Ravi, who was hitherto Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Armed Police, Tiruchi, will be the new Commissioner, Tirunelveli city.

    Prateep V. Philip, who was Commissioner, Tiruchi, has been transferred to Chennai as the DIG, Training.

    Promoted

    As regards Chennai Police, K. Joshi Nirmal Kumar and S. Prabhakaran, Additional Superintendents, have been promoted and posted as Deputy Commissioners (DC), Ambattur, and Traffic (South).

    Similarly, on promotion, A.T. Duraikumar, has been promoted and posted as DC, Washermanpet. On transfer from Salem city as DC, crime and traffic, A. George Devasahayam, has been posted as DC, Traffic (Central). M. Ramasubramani, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Headquarters, will be the new DC, Triplicane.

    Ayush Mani Tiwari is the new ADC to Governor. He was earlier, Superintendent, Namakkal district.

    On promotion as Superintendents, K. Bhavaneswari, P.K. Senthilkumari, Z. Annie Vijaya, N.Z. Asiammal and M. Sathiyapriya have been posted to Crime Branch-II CID, Chennai, Commandant, TSP, V battalion (women), Avadi, Railways, Chennai, Central range, DVAC and Economic Offences Wing-II, Chennai respectively.

    Other transfers

    The following are the other transfers to postings against the officers' names: C. Sylendra Babu-Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Newsprint Ltd., Karur; P. Kandasamy-DIG, Tiruchi range; Sanjay Arora-DIG, Deputy Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai; Rajeev Kumar-DIG, Villupuram range; R.C. Kudawla-DIG, Vellore range, P. Sakthivelu — DC, Law and Order, Salem city; J. Baskaran — Anti-Dacoity Cell; K. Shanmugavel — DC, Law and Order, Coimbatore city; P. Nagarajan — DC, Crime, Madurai; Maheshwar Dayal — Commandant, TSP VIII battalion, New Delhi; Sanjay Kumar — SP, Cuddalore district; K. Shankar will continue to be Superintendent, Karur district; Vidya D. Kulkarni — Superintendent, The Nilgiris; E.Ma. Masanamuthu-Commandant, TSP VII battalion, Palani; R.Thirugnanam-DC, Crime and Traffic, Tiruchi; G. Rajendran — Superintendent, Namakkal district; A. Kalimullah Khan — Superintendent, Enforcement, Chennai; J. Ravindran — SP, Pudukottai district; S. Manoharan — DC, Crime, Coimbatore and S. Masilamani — Superintendent, Southern range, DVAC, Madurai.
