"Some communication and life-coping skills would also be taught to the students as part of the course," he said. Students will be taught Tally, an accounting software widely used in the small and medium enterprises sector. Tally India will provide training and infrastructure inputs while TNOU will conduct the examination and award certificates.. The eligibility is a pass in Plus Two. "We introduced this programme as there are plenty of job opportunities in finance and accounts," Mr. Palanichamy said. The course will be offered in about 100 Tally centres in Tamil Nadu from July to December and January to June. It costs Rs. 6,300. M. G. Gopi, Sales Head, Tally (South Asia) said that the course content was designed in consultation with TNOU to suit student requirements.
