Airtel launches FIFA World Cup `mobisodes'

CHENNAI:
With football fever running high, mobile service provider Airtel has launched a service that provides two-minute and 30-second video clips of the World Cup 2006 matches for subscribers of its GPRS (general packet radio service) platform.
The mobile service provider has recently entered into a tie-up with ESPN-Star Sports to get video rights for packaging it on the mobile platform.
The `mobisodes' will also feature match analyses and predictions by football analysts, including star commentators. Apart from special promotions, Airtel has also launched score updates to keep frenzied football fans informed of the latest developments.
