`Selvi' to be on Sun TV for 3 more months
When Sarath Kumar and Radhika shifted their alliance to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the first question that arose in the minds of the people was whether Radhika's serials aired on the Sun network would be stopped, and whether they would be shown on Jaya TV instead.
Radhika's Radan Television-produced serial `Selvi' has been given an extension for another 3 months.
Sources in Sun TV say they do not see anything special in giving the serial an extension. "In the first instance, we give only 13 episodes if it [the serial] shows an episode a week. But, if it is a daily soap (aired from Monday to Friday) then we give 13x5 = 65 episodes. This comes to nearly three months. After every three months we gauge the response, discuss with the producer about making things more interesting and decide on an extension. The same procedure was adopted for this serial too," they said.
